Win, Lose, No Matter...

Miyagi said it best in Karate Kid. 80's! Man, what a time for movies. Anyway. I was reminded of this saying while faced with a decision last evening. We had a team event which we took a higher road and allowed ourselves to give the other team some advantages over ourselves. It turned out they won the game. The short of it.... we could have fought over details and tried to make it a win for us instead, but we sucked it up and took the loss. I was reminded of Christ on the cross who had every opportunity to call reinforcements and made a WILLFUL decision knowing he would lose the battle. Knowing, the big picture was better off and needed his sacrifice. By all means I am not bringing Christ dying on the cross to equal ground with some team game played for fun. But when we had the opportunity and even rules and laws of the game on our side, we were able to see the big picture. We went out had fun and that Thursday evening, at the game we demonstrated what it means to be CHRIST-LIKE. Great job team. Love living life with you all. And don't forget.... "at t t t LOOK EYE!" "Bonzai!"

I'm so proud of you and the team. Way to take the higher road and to look at the bigger picture! It truly makes it a win for us because of that :)

Awesome post, Chris. I am glad we stepped up and it is pleasing to Him. :)

BTW-You are my brotha-from-anotha-motha. My siblings and I have this thing where we relive the movie Red Dawn. We are always shouting to each other "Wolverines" when we are about to do some battle. LOL
