Smashing (cutting) Pumpkins

Today, we starting out on the right foot. We woke up and got ready to go worship God with our family. Faith City Rocks. Great service today. High energy. Lots of friends and new people.  Then we went out to dine with family and back to the house to make some pumpkin butter and bake pumpkin seeds.  Nothing like a little kid size pumpkin cutting knife to test your patience on a Sunday afternoon.   My daughter and wife and I went outside on this beautiful 80 degree October day. We started cutting the pumpkins and letting Aliyah pull out the seeds and it was messy.  Aliyah got bored of it really fast and began to try to pick up the knife. So we are having fun pulling seeds and hiding the utensils and then she decides to stick her foot into a pumpkin. LOL it was funny yet kinda gross to think about using the pumpkin for food. But praise God we blessed it.  Anyway we then proceeded to go into the house and empty the seeds and then we had to cut the pumpkins in quarters. But sitting here and typing and eating baked seeds. UMMM! tasting good. Eating the FRUIT of our labor. Wifey is making pumpkin butter. So awesome.   Anyway they are in process of smashing the soft cooked pumpkin and making a spread. I am so proud of my wife. She has started to do a lot of homemade cooking and canning. Great to have a Proverbs 31 wife.  If you don't know then go to the Bible in the Old testament and read it. Kind of the middle of the bible.
